Signs To Watch Out For
There are plenty of things that can go wrong with your dishwasher. If you notice one of the following problems, it is a sign that you may need to give us a call to help you out.
Strange Sounds or Noises
It is normal for your dishwasher to make some noise. If clunking, banging or louder noises arise, there is likely a problem. It could be due to the dishwasher not sitting on a level surface (causing it to rock around) or a bad inlet valve.
Not Filling Up
There are a few different things that could cause this to happen. There could be a problem with the water intake valve, pressure switch, timer switch, float system, or the water inlet valve. All of these parts will need to be checked in order to find the culprit.
You are going to find some clean water at the bottom of the dishwasher after it drains, but if you are finding a lot of water (especially if it is dirty water) is a problem. This is going to be linked to a bad drain valve, a clogged sink trap, or a clogged drain line.
Not Turning On
This problem is going to link to a problem in the electrical system of the dishwasher. It is going to likely be poor electrical connections or bad wiring within the dishwasher.
Where the leak is coming from is going to determine the source of the leak. If you notice that water is leaking from the door, it is probably because of broken door gaskets or a door that isn't shutting tightly.
Water leaking from underneath is probably coming from a bad pump seal or a leaking pipe. It can also be because of corrosion under the dishwasher. Corrosion is a problem that can't be repaired and a new dishwasher is the only way to go.
